When and how to plant beans

Bean planting time

Green beans are generally planted in February and March every spring. The climate at that time is more suitable for its growth and development, and it can be harvested in June-August. If the temperature is more suitable, it can also be planted in May-August in summer and autumn, and can be harvested in early July.

How to plant beans

1. Site selection and fertilization: Green beans are suitable for planting in sandy loam with flat terrain, loose soil, good drainage and rich in organic matter. After selecting the land, it is necessary to apply fertilizer by ditch application, mainly with decomposed farmyard manure.

2. Sowing and planting: When sowing green beans, you need to use full seeds with uniform color, and dry them in the sun for 1-2 days, which is more conducive to seed germination. When sowing, you can sow them manually in holes, but the planting density must be reasonable.

3. Maintenance and management: After sowing, green beans will grow seedlings after a period of time. During the seedling stage, it is necessary to carry out 2-3 times of tillage and weeding, and water them appropriately, which is more conducive to growth.

Notes on planting beans

During the normal maintenance of green beans, diseases and pests often occur, mainly due to improper maintenance and management, or poor ventilation, which is extremely detrimental to the growth of seedlings. After discovery, it is necessary to spray drugs for treatment in time.
