Purslane is a common wild vegetable with a wholesale price ranging from 5 to 10 yuan per catty. The initial costs of planting include greenhouses, seeds, labor, fertilizers, etc. After deducting costs, the net profit per mu of land can reach about 14,000 yuan, and the income is very considerable.

High-yield cultivation techniques of purslane

1. Land preparation and fertilization

Before planting Purslane, the land needs to be prepared and fertilized. The soil should be plowed about 15-20 cm, and about 3,000 kg of fertilizer should be applied per mu, mainly farmyard manure, and then sufficient water should be poured.

2. Sowing

Before planting purslane, the bed surface needs to be leveled, then furrows are dug for sowing. The row spacing should be controlled at about 23 cm. Fine sand and seeds should be mixed evenly and then sown. About 500 grams of seeds can be used per mu.

3. Post-sowing management

Purslane will germinate 2-4 days after sowing. Thin out the seedlings when they grow to 3-4 cm. Keep the distance between seedlings at 5 cm. Just pay attention to weeding and fertilizing in the later stage.
