Time to repot white palm

Anthurium grows relatively fast and usually needs to be repotted every 1-2 years. It is best to do this in March to May each year when the weather is relatively warm. This is also the time when the plant maintains rapid growth and can resume growth more quickly. However, if the plant grows too fast, it can also be repotted in autumn.

How to repot white palm

1. Remove the pot

Take the calla lily out of the original pot, gently shake off the soil at the roots, then rinse the roots of the calla lily with clean water and cut off the old, weak and diseased roots. After pruning the roots, you can apply some wood ash on the root wounds or use carbendazim to sterilize and disinfect them.

2. Planting in pots

Before planting the white calla lily in a pot, be sure to choose a larger pot and prepare the soil in advance. Then build a drainage layer at the bottom of the pot, pour in some soil, place the plant in the center of the pot and straighten it, then fill in the soil around the plant until the soil is 2-3 cm close to the edge of the pot.

3. Watering after planting

After replanting the calla lily, you can water it thoroughly once, which is the rooting water, until water flows out of the outlet at the bottom of the pot. Then maintain it in a semi-shaded, well-ventilated environment to slow down the growth of the seedlings. After it takes root, you can carry out normal maintenance.

Notes on repotting white palm

If you want to trim the roots when repotting anthuriums, it is best to do it on a cloudy day to avoid dehydration caused by sunlight or high temperatures. If you do not want to trim the roots, you can choose to do it on a cloudy day or a sunny day.
