How to divide the Xianlaike flower into pots and what is the time and method for dividing the pots

Time to divide the pots of the cymbidium

It is best to repot cyclamen after summer, when the tuberous stems have not yet sprouted new buds and leaves. Repotting at this time will cause the least damage to the cyclamen. After repotting, the seasonal temperature is just right, allowing it to quickly adapt to the pot and grow and bloom.

The correct way to divide the pot of Xianlaike flower

1. Remove soil

Change the soil after the cyclamen has passed the summer. Take it out of the pot with the soil, remove the outermost layer of soil with your hands, trim the rotten and dry fibrous roots, but do not remove the soil inside. This will protect the root system and help it adapt to the new environment.

2. Potting soil

The tuberous stems of cyclamen grow slowly, so there is generally no need to change to a larger flowerpot. The main thing is to change the soil and supplement nutrients. Place two tiles at the drainage hole of the original flowerpot, put a layer of expanded clay or stones at the bottom of the pot for drainage, and then fill in new soil. You can mix some organic fertilizer at the bottom of the soil as base fertilizer.

3. Repotting

After pruning the cyclamen, fill the soil and water it thoroughly, then place it in a well-ventilated and diffused light place for maintenance. After the leaves on its tuberous stems begin to sprout, increase the light exposure time. After it adapts to the environment, manage it normally and water it again when the soil is dry.

Division and repotting of the Immortal Flower

The division of cyclamen should be called bulb division or bulb cutting propagation. The pruning tools need to be disinfected before division, and the best time is after flowering, when the temperature is cool and conducive to wound healing.

method:

First, you need to put the pruning tools in 5% potassium permanganate solution or wipe them with medical alcohol. When changing the soil, directly divide the plants, cut the bulbs into melon-shaped pieces, each piece should have young sprouts on it, and apply wood ash on the wounds.

After the wound is slightly dry, move it to a small pot for maintenance. It needs to be placed on a well-ventilated balcony for maintenance. Do not place it in a dark environment to prevent the wound from becoming infected and causing rot. After a month, when new leaves grow, change the pot with the soil and maintain it normally.

Things to note when transplanting Xianlaike flowers

1. The new pot for cyclamen needs to be soaked before use. Appropriate fertilizer can be applied after repotting. When repotting, the rotten roots can be trimmed clean. The repotted plant should be placed in a well-ventilated environment for maintenance. The ambient temperature should be around 15 degrees.

2. The potting soil used when repotting and transplanting can be basically consistent, so that the new and old potting soil can be better combined together, which is very beneficial for the plant to quickly adapt to the new growth environment. It is best to use loose, fertile, and well-drained soil. You can add leaf mold, peat soil, and mountain mud to the soil, and add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer. Stir well before use.

3. You need to change the way you maintain it. First, move it to an environment with a temperature of about 20 degrees and without strong sunlight. Then reduce the frequency of watering appropriately and do not fertilize it for the time being. During this period, you can ventilate it more. After it recovers and the leaves start to grow again, you can slowly increase watering and resume fertilizing.
