Does cilantro need to be watered every day?

Do you water cilantro every day?

Coriander is a plant that likes water. If it is sunny for consecutive days, it needs to be watered every day. In summer, it needs to be watered once in the morning and evening. On cloudy days, it only needs to be watered every two days. In winter, it needs to be watered every three to five days.

It is generally best to water coriander in the mornings and evenings on sunny days. If it is a sunny day in the hot summer, it needs to be watered twice a day. Otherwise, it can be watered once a day. Coriander can grow well if watered with tap water.

The correct way to water cilantro

1. Newly planted coriander

Coriander has a high demand for water. When it is newly planted, you should start watering it in the evening. It is a good choice to water the soil thoroughly at one time, which is conducive to the growth of the plant.

2. New pot of coriander

If the coriander has just been planted in a new soil environment, it is best to water it lightly for the first two days. Wait until the roots have adapted to the environment and can absorb water and nutrients normally before watering it heavily.

3. Watering frequency

Generally, it is sufficient to water coriander once a day. If it is in the summer when the temperature is high and the water evaporation is large, you can consider watering it twice or three times a day.

4. Water quality

Coriander is not very picky about water quality. Since it requires a lot of water, it is not realistic to use rice water. You can directly use tap water to water it. It would be even better if you can dry it in advance.

Overwatering of cilantro

If coriander is watered too much, a high-power industrial fan can be set up near the planting site to speed up the air flow near the plant, allowing dry air to continuously pass over the overly wet soil, absorbing and taking away the evaporated water vapor, thereby using physical principles to achieve the effect of reducing soil humidity.
