Introduction to Beech Growth Beech trees are mostly distributed vertically in mountains and plains below 500 meters above sea level, and in Yunnan they can reach an altitude of 1,000 meters. They are cultivated in Southwest China, North China, East China, Central China, and South China. Beech growth cycle Beech trees grow in fertile, moist soil, have deep roots, are strong in wind resistance, can grow to more than 30 meters, and have a diameter of up to 1.5 meters. They need to grow for at least 120 years. Beech growth rate The growth of beech trees is slow at first, but it starts to grow faster after 6-7 years, and its growth capacity can last for 70-80 years. It blooms and bears fruit in 10-15 years, and it is in full fruit in 20-80 years. It has a long lifespan, and a century-old tree can still bear fruit normally. Beech growth cycle managementTemperature management: Beech trees are relatively resistant to high and low temperatures. However, they need plenty of sunlight to grow vigorously, and the temperature in winter needs to be above 5°C. Fertilization management : Beech seedling cultivation requires timely application of quick-acting fertilizers in the fast-growing season. Nitrogen fertilizers should be applied in the middle growth period (fast-growing period). Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be added in the later period to promote good wood quality of seedlings. |
