Can apples be grown in Guangxi?

The Guangxi region is not suitable for apple growth. The latitude of Guangxi is too low and the temperature conditions are not suitable for the growth of most apple varieties. In my country, apple trees are generally planted in warm temperate regions such as Shandong and Shaanxi, where the temperature is more suitable for apple growth.

The most suitable temperature for apple growth is 12-24℃. The temperature should not be too high in winter, as it will affect the dormancy of apples. In my country, apples are mainly produced in Shaanxi, Hebei, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang. Jonagold apples can be grown in Guangxi, as this variety of apple has strong adaptability.

Apple Planting Technology in Guangxi

1. Lighting

Apples like to grow in an environment with plenty of sunlight. Only when there is sufficient light can the photosynthesis of the apple tree promote the strong growth of the plant and produce more and better apples. Therefore, to ensure the normal growth of apple trees and increase apple yield and quality, be sure to ensure sufficient sunlight during planting.

2. Temperature

Apple trees like to grow in a low temperature and dry environment. They have strong resistance to cold and heat. The suitable growth temperature is between 12-25℃. To ensure that the apple trees can hibernate normally, the temperature in winter should be controlled below 8℃. Only after the apple trees are dormant will they continue to sprout in spring.

3. Watering

Watering has a very important influence on the growth of apples. Generally, fruit trees can actually absorb about 1/3 of the natural precipitation. Therefore, when building an orchard, it is necessary to build irrigation, moisture conservation facilities and rainy season drainage facilities to ensure the normal growth of apple trees and to ensure the yield and quality of apples.

4. Soil

Soil has a certain impact on the growth rate, yield and quality of apples. When planting apples, you should choose soil with a deep layer, convenient drainage, loose soil, fertility and containing organic matter. The pH value of the soil should be between 5-8.
