2. Watering according to the temperature : In the summer, water the tree once before 8 am and after 4 pm. If the soil is not completely dry, you can choose not to water it. When the temperature is between 17 and 20°C, it is very suitable for the growth of plum trees, and you can water it every 1 to 2 days.

Watering precautions for plum trees

1. Do not water too much : Plants grown in the open field do not need to be watered except in dry weather. In dry weather, water them once every two days. If they are potted plants grown at home, they need to be watered every other day during the growing season and once a week during the non-growing season.

2. Watering before winter : In northern China, there is drought in autumn and winter. Sufficient watering before winter is beneficial for plum trees to overwinter.

What to do if you overwater your plum tree

Remove the plum tree from the soil with the soil clump, do not break up the soil clump, and wait until the soil is almost dry before putting it back into the pot. If you water it too much, the leaves of the plant will wilt severely. You need to remove the plant from the pot, cut off the rotten roots, and let the roots dry for a while before replanting.
