Rice growing conditions and characteristics

Rice growing conditions

Rice is a short-day crop that prefers a high temperature, humid, and sunny climate. It is not demanding on soil and is mainly produced in southern my country.

The suitable temperature for rice germination is 10-12℃, and the suitable temperature for heading is 25-35℃. The plant has poor cold resistance and the critical temperature is 13℃. The growth of the plant will be affected below this temperature.

Rice growth period and process

Rice is native to China and India and is now widely distributed throughout the world. It grows quickly, with a growth cycle of generally about two to three months.

Rice goes through several stages in its life cycle, including germination, seedling jointing, tillering, booting, heading, and filling stages. However, the growth of the plant is affected by various factors, and its specific boundaries are not very clear.

Rice Planting Process and Methods

1. Seed treatment: Rice planting can be done by sowing. First, clean the seeds, disinfect them, and then germinate them. Control the temperature at around 30℃ and they will germinate quickly.

2. Land preparation: If you want high rice yields, you need to ensure the fertility of the substrate. When preparing the land, you should combine tillage and weeding, add appropriate amounts of organic fertilizer and potassium sulfate to the soil, and stir well.

3. Transplanting: Do not plant rice too densely, the row spacing should be about 10 cm. Hold the roots with your hands and insert them into the soil until they are completely covered by the soil.
