Violet planting time

Violets are sown in September. After sowing, moisten the potting soil by immersion in water and keep the temperature at 15-20℃. They will germinate in about 10-15 days and bloom in April-May of the following spring. Summer violets are annual plants, sown in spring and bloom in summer and autumn.

How to grow violets

1. Planting in spring and autumn: Collect the seeds and store them. When the spring weather is suitable, sow them to promote germination.

2. Prepare the potting soil : Choose fertile and loose soil. You can use a mixture of garden soil, humus and river sand in a ratio of 2:2:1.

3. Seed sowing : Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the soil, cover with a layer of fine soil, water appropriately, and then place the violets in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance.

4. Germination and maintenance: Keep the temperature at around 18-21°C. In about half a month, small sprouts will grow from the soil.

How to plant the violets I just bought

1. It is best to plant it in autumn, or you can save the seeds and plant them in the spring of next year.

2. Sowing: Make sure the plant spacing is 45-60 cm and the depth is 7-8 cm. Forcing cultivation can also be carried out.

3. After sowing the seeds, cover them with vermiculite, maintain a certain humidity, and control the temperature at 18-21℃. They will germinate after a while.

4. Seedling management: After the small buds grow out, they can be moved to a place with good light, increase ventilation, and then apply a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer. The daytime temperature should be controlled at 21°C and the night temperature at 10°C.

5. When the small buds grow two true leaves, they can be potted.

6. After potting, keep the temperature at 15-18℃. In spring, you can maintain it at natural temperature and fertilize normally.

How to plant the violets I just bought

1. Violets like a cool environment. Try to let them receive scattered light, but don't expose them to it for too long.

2. Determine whether to water based on the dryness of the soil. Do not water without watering, but do not water too much.

3. When applying fertilizer, it is best to use a fertilizer with balanced nutrients and apply it once every 7-10 days during the growing season.

4. Use soil with good drainage to avoid water accumulation.

How to grow violets quickly

1. Choose loose and fertile soil for planting, which is conducive to root breathing and absorption.

2. Always ensure that the soil in the pot is moist, and follow the principle of not watering unless it is dry, and watering thoroughly when you do.

3. The suitable temperature for violets to grow is 18-24℃. The flowering period is long and they can bloom all year round.

Precautions for cultivating violets in pots

When growing violets in the summer, you not only need to take shade measures, but also spray water to cool down, remove weeds in time, and it is best to spray pesticides once a month. This can effectively prevent violets from being infected by diseases and pests, otherwise it will easily cause their leaves to turn yellow.
