Chili pepper generally refers to chili pepper. The planting time of this crop is generally seasonal. Most of them are planted in winter, specifically from November to December each year. However, in the southern regions with higher temperatures, chili pepper can be planted all year round.

There are many varieties of chili peppers. The more common ones are Pu'er chili peppers, pearl chili peppers, Jianshui chili peppers, Hunan chili peppers, etc. Most of them are divided according to the planting areas, but there is not much difference in the planting time of different varieties of chili peppers.

Chili peppers can usually be planted about three months after planting, and are available on the market in large quantities around June. The average yield per mu is around 3,000 catties. If the variety is of good quality, the yield per mu can be as high as 8,000 catties.

Steps and methods of growing chili pepper

1. Site selection

When choosing a place to plant chili peppers, you should choose a place close to a water source. The soil should be loose and fertile, and it should receive sufficient sunlight.

2. Seed germination

Before sowing, place the seeds in the sun to dry for a few days, then soak them in pesticide for about an hour before sowing.

3. Planting

Just sow about 6 grams of chili seeds per square meter, then cover the seeds with a layer of fine soil. Keep the soil moist during later maintenance and wait for the seeds to germinate.
