How to breed Dafugui

The genus Pleurotus eryngii is a plant of the subfamily Orchidaceae. Its main methods of reproduction are tissue culture rapid propagation and top cutting. Generally, the new buds are purple-red in color and are highly ornamental.

The genus Fugui likes a warm and humid environment. The suitable growth temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees. It is not resistant to low temperature in winter and the temperature must not be lower than 10 degrees.

The genus Fugui likes an environment with plenty of sunlight, but is not resistant to strong light. It is best cultivated in an environment with scattered light. It is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, well-drained soil, and the potting soil should be changed every 1-2 years.

Watering method

Dafugui likes a humid environment and needs to be watered frequently during the growing season, but the plant is not tolerant to waterlogging and waterlogging should not be allowed to occur. Normally, it is sufficient to keep the soil slightly moist. During the low temperatures in winter, control watering to keep the soil slightly dry.

Fertilization method

The Daffodil is relatively tolerant to fertilizer. During its growth period, you can apply thin liquid fertilizer once every half a month to promote its rapid growth and early formation. When applying fertilizer, be sure to dilute it with water. Do not apply concentrated fertilizer directly, which will burn the roots and affect growth.

Pruning methods

Yellow leaves often appear on the plant, which need to be removed in time. In spring, the diseased, insect-infested, weak, and old branches and leaves can be pruned away. This will concentrate nutrients on the strong branches and improve the overall ornamental value.

Precautions for breeding of Dafugui

1. A certain amount of light needs to be provided in spring and autumn to maintain the green color of the leaves. If the light intensity is high in summer and autumn, shading is needed, and sufficient air and soil humidity must be ensured. Timely spraying water to clean the leaves will make the plant grow more vigorously.

2. The requirements of the fortune tree for fertilizer are not strict. Generally, a thin layer of fertilizer is applied every 20-25 days. It is best to use a compound fertilizer containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The fortune tree needs to maintain the moist soil and must be watered every two days. Each time it is watered, it must be watered thoroughly. Abundant water can improve photosynthesis.
