Taro is a vegetable, also known as ground chestnut and yellow chestnut taro. It is a plant of the Araceae family and the genus Taro. Nutritional value of taro

Taro Origin and Planting

Taro is native to China and India. Common production areas in my country include Shandong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Henan, Hunan and other provinces. Among them, the Jingjiang Taro in Jiangsu is relatively famous. It has a delicate texture, dry and delicious taste and excellent quality.

Taro is best planted around the Qingming Festival, when the temperature should be around 13-15℃. The soil should be loose and fertile, soft, and rich in organic matter. The pH value of the soil should be between 5.5-7.
