Growth characteristics of lilac: It likes tropical marine climate, high temperature, humid and calm wind, tropical rainforest climate environment with small temperature difference, is not cold and drought-resistant, and prefers fertile, deep and loose soil.

Growth rate of lilac

Lilac grows relatively slowly. Its growth rate varies under different land, climate and management conditions. Generally, its growth cycle is about half a year.

Lilac likes sunlight and moisture, avoids waterlogging, and has strong resistance to adversity. Lilac needs to be shaped and pruned before germination. If you do not want to keep seeds after the flowers fade, you can cut off the remaining flowers and the two buds at the bottom of the flower spike to reduce nutrient consumption.

Lilac Growth Cycle Management

When planting lilac seedlings, 6-8 kilograms of seeds are needed per acre of land. The optimal growth temperature is between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. When the temperature is below 3 degrees Celsius, the plants will be frozen or die.

Fertilization management : When transplanting lilac, apply enough base fertilizer in the planting hole first. It does not like large amounts of fertilizer, so avoid applying too much fertilizer, which will affect its flowering. Generally, it is necessary to apply mature compost once before winter.
