Peanuts are suitable for flower fertilizer

Commonly used fertilizers for peanuts include nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer, potassium fertilizer, calcium fertilizer, sulfur fertilizer, etc. Among them, the demand for nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer is the highest, with a ratio of 3:0.4:1, followed by the highest demand for sulfur, magnesium and other elements.

Generally speaking, organic fertilizer is the most suitable for peanuts, such as farmyard manure, which is animal manure, including pig manure, chicken manure, human manure, etc. These fertilizers are all natural and contain sufficient nutrients, which can make the peanuts grow vigorously and have emerald green leaves. In the case of applying enough organic fertilizer, spray fertilizer on the leaves in the middle and late stages according to the growth trend.

How to make peanut fertilizer

1. To make farmyard manure, pile the farmyard manure on the ground and cover it with a layer of soil to prevent insects from laying eggs in the fertilizer. Generally speaking, the higher the temperature, the faster the fermentation speed, and it usually takes 3-6 months to decompose.

2. To make eggshell flower fertilizer, wash the eggshells and dry them in the sun, crush them, and then put them in a mortar and grind them into powder. You can mix the eggshell powder with potting soil, and then you can plant flowers in the pots.

How to use peanut fertilizer

Use farmyard manure for peanuts. Usually before planting peanuts, you can mix the farmyard manure into the soil when preparing the land as base fertilizer to ensure sufficient nutrients for the plant to grow. Then, as the peanuts grow, you can apply farmyard manure as topdressing.

Too much peanut fertilizer

If peanuts use too much fertilizer and their leaves fall off, they need to be diluted or the fertilizer in the soil needs to be removed. The method is to fill the soil with plenty of water and drain it as soon as possible, or to dig it out, clean the roots with water, and then change the pot soil for planting.

Precautions for peanut fertilization

Nitrogen fertilizer is generally not applied after peanuts bloom. The need for phosphorus increases during the pod filling period. When applying foliar fertilizer to peanuts, the concentration of the fertilizer must be well controlled. It should not be too low or too high. High concentration can easily cause fertilizer damage and hurt the leaves.
