How to grow Phoenix bamboo more vigorously

How to grow Phoenix bamboo more vigorously

1. Suitable substrate

Choosing a suitable substrate is beneficial to the growth of Phoenix bamboo. It is best to choose loose, breathable, nutritious, slightly acidic or neutral flower soil to grow it. Never use alkaline soil. Specifically, you can mix equal amounts of leaf mold, garden soil, and river sand to make its flower soil. In addition, the pot should be changed every two years to replace the old soil that is not conducive to the growth of the plant so that it can grow more vigorously.

2. Adequate light

Light can promote photosynthesis of plants, which helps the plants grow more vigorously. You can usually place it in a well-lit place such as near a window. If placed outdoors, also be careful to avoid too strong light.

3. Suitable temperature

Warmth is good for plant growth. The temperature can be maintained at around 20 degrees. It needs to be kept away from the cold in winter, otherwise it will get frozen and its growth will be affected. It is best to keep the temperature above freezing so that it can continue to grow.

4. Appropriate amount of water

During the growth period, the substrate must be kept moist so that the plant can grow vigorously. But don't overwater to cause waterlogging.

5. Appropriate Fertilization

Applying an appropriate amount of fertilizer during the growth period can promote the plant to grow more vigorously. Specifically, fertilizer can be applied once every twenty days.

6. Regular pruning

Regularly prune off diseased, insect-infested, aging, and overly messy branches to avoid adverse effects on the plants.
