How to care for the newly bought Jade Lotus

1. How to deal with the newly purchased Teyulian

I just bought a special jade lotus. If it is a bare-root succulent purchased online, I should check it after receiving it to see if it carries any diseases or pests. Then trim the dry fibrous roots appropriately, let it air dry for 2 days until the wounds are dry, then plant it in a pot with moist soil, and water it after a week to add light. If you buy succulent plants with pots, you can care for them normally.

2. How to care for the newly bought Teyulian

1. Light: Jade lotus likes light. Except for summer, it can be maintained in full sunlight in other seasons, that is, exposed to the sun all day long. With sufficient light, the leaves of succulent plants will become short and thick, with a light pink edge. With lack of light, the leaves of succulent plants will become thinner and longer.

2. Temperature: The most suitable growth temperature for Te Yu Lian is 18-28℃. The temperature is high in summer, so you need to pull the shade net to cool down. The temperature is low in winter, so the plants need to be moved indoors for maintenance. The temperature should be kept above 10°C. Water less when the temperature is low, as the large temperature difference is beneficial to the coloring of succulents.

3. Watering: The temperature is low in winter and high in summer, so you must control the water or even cut off the water supply. In spring and autumn, watering should be gradual. Water thoroughly every time when the soil is dry, and avoid getting water on the leaves, otherwise the white powder on the leaves will decrease and the heart will easily rot.

4. Note: In the hot and humid summer season, the succulent plant is particularly prone to black rot. Once black spots are found on the leaves of the succulent plant, the diseased leaves should be removed in time and the stems should be observed for black spots. If so, the blackened parts should be dug out and carbendazim should be applied.
