When to plant peony seeds

1. Sowing time

There are two sowing times for peonies: spring sowing and summer sowing. They can be planted from March to August every year. The temperature and climate during this period are very suitable for sowing, which is very beneficial for its germination and growth.

Early August is the seed-collecting time for peonies, as their seeds are already ripe at this time. The time between sowing and collecting seeds cannot be too far apart, usually no more than September.

2. Methods to improve germination rate

1. Seeds: Choose new seeds when sowing. If the seeds are old, the germination rate will be reduced and it will not be conducive to later growth.

2. Germination: Soak the seeds before sowing. Soak them in warm water for about 12 hours to promote the awakening of the seeds and increase the germination rate.

3. Soil: If you want a high germination rate, you must choose a flat ground with relatively sufficient light when sowing.

4. Sowing: When sowing, the depth should be controlled within two to three centimeters, not too deep.
