How to raise iron chopsticks

How to raise iron chopsticks

1. Breeding environment

1. Fertilization: For its growth, it needs to be fertilized at least three times a year. The first time after germination, it can promote the flowers to be more colorful and the differentiation of flower buds. The second time is after flowering, to supplement nutrients and promote seed development. The third time is from September to October, which can promote the growth of underground stems. Each time fertilization is done, potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer are mainly used. Be sure to stop fertilizing during the hot summer months.

2. Watering: It likes a humid environment, so water it frequently. During the peak growing season in spring, the amount of water should be increased; in summer, the temperature is high and the transpiration is strong, so watering should be sufficient, preferably in the morning or evening. Reduce watering from late autumn to winter and keep the soil slightly dry.

3. Light: In early spring, it is necessary to maintain sufficient light to facilitate flowering. The summer sun is strong, so provide adequate shade and spray more water to avoid leaf burns.

2. Weed Control

During the growth period of the iron chopsticks, attention should also be paid to timely weeding. Generally speaking, weeding is necessary 5-6 times in a growing season. It is best to do it after each watering or rainfall when the soil is slightly dry.
