How to divide Hongyun Dangtou

How to divide Hongyun Dangtou

Time for division of Hongyun Dangtou

Pineapple is the most common pineapple plant. Commonly cultivated varieties include bright red, pink, golden yellow, rose red, etc. It is generally best to divide it in April in spring, because it is also necessary to change the pot at this time, and the temperature is very suitable, stable between 20 and 25 degrees. After division, the plants can adapt to the environment as soon as possible and grow better.

The propagation method of Hongyun Dangtou by division

After the flowers of the Red Fortune Plant have faded, you can cut off the flower pavilion to allow new buds to sprout from the roots. After 3-5 buds have grown and the suckers below have grown 3-4 leaves, you can peel it off the mother plant and replant it in a flowerpot to turn it into a new plant.

Method of dividing Hongyundangtou

The division propagation of Hongyundangtou is not limited by time or season and can be carried out at any time, and the survival rate of division propagation is relatively high.

First, you can remove the red lucky dangtou from the pot, pour out all the plants, and then remove the large clods of soil that can be separated. Wash the roots of the poured red lucky dangtou plants in water, and then rinse them with running water to clean the soil on the main roots. This will facilitate the division work that will be done later.

Comb out the tangled roots and divide them into several plants according to how strong the roots grow. Use a knife to cut the upper part, making the incision small and being careful not to damage the taproot.

Just bought the division of Hongyun Dangtou

1. After the division of the newly purchased Hongyundangtou is completed, the plant needs to be properly pruned. The old leaves and yellow leaves can be cut off to reduce water evaporation.

2. After the plants of the lucky flower are divided, they can be planted in pots. The lucky flower likes a humid environment, so it must be watered thoroughly after planting to ensure the moistness of the potting soil. Three days after transplanting, you can use diluted carbendazim to water it.

3. After the red lucky flower is planted in separate pots, it is best to place it in a cool place for the first week and avoid direct sunlight, but be sure to ensure scattered light. The newly planted seedlings do not need to be fertilized. They cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Try to place them in a semi-shaded and semi-sunny position. Keep the temperature at around 20℃. Generally, new roots will grow 1-2 months after the division and planting.
