Yexian grafted with Schlumbergera

Grafting Yexian onto Christmas cactus can be said to be the most common in the grafting world, and has been played around with by many flower lovers. By grafting them layer by layer, you can also enjoy the crabs of different colors.

Specific operations:

1. First of all, we need to choose the branches of the leaf fairy. It is best to require a relatively thick main stem with moderate maturity, and the thorn seat (the place where we want to graft) should not be aged.

2. After selecting the rootstock, we will start processing the scion. Choose 1 to 3 stems and leaves from the top of the Christmas cactus, and use a sterilized blade to scrape away the flesh on both sides of the bottom of the leaves, exposing the white pith in the middle.

Then we choose a good location for grafting the Christmas cactus, remove the branches and leaves, split it with a knife, insert the peeled Christmas cactus leaves into the split, and fix it with small clips.

3. When grafting, pay attention to make the width of the wound of the Christmas cactus as smaller than the diameter of the Christmas cactus branch as possible. After the grafting is completed, we can cover it with a transparent plastic bag to prevent the scion from losing water, and remove the bag after a week.

4. The above mentioned method is cleft grafting. There is also a method called latent grafting, which mainly utilizes the thorny position of the leaf fairy.

Cut a wedge-shaped notch at the thorny base of the leaf fairy to reveal the green pith. This time, only one side of the Christmas cactus is cut, and the size should be consistent with the notch of the leaf fairy. Connect the Christmas cactus and the leaf fairy, making sure there is no gap, and secure them with a clip.

Grafted white sandalwood

The power of Ye Xian continues to explode, let’s take a look at the grafted sandalwood!

Grafting sandalwood is a very violent process. Just cut a cross on the bottom of the sandalwood, sharpen the top of the leaf fairy, and insert the sandalwood directly into it, with a depth of about 1cm.

Grafting other plants

1. Grafting cactus

Although grafting this kind of cactus does not look very good, it will feel quite novel if the grafting is successful. Just imagine that there are so many spherical fleshy plants growing on a slender branch. It would be very interesting to look at it.

2. Grafting Monkey Tail

Does the grafted monkey tail also have a cute feeling? Huahua likes this combination the most.
