1. Difference of blades

The basal leaves of Crane Grass are round and kidney-shaped, with 5 deep lobes, and the lobes are obovate-cuneate. The stem leaves are 3-lobed, and the lobes are long ovate or wide cuneate. Stipules are ovate-triangular.

2. The difference between flowers

The peduncle of Geranium is filamentous and grows solitary in the leaf axils. The bracts are opposite and brown in color. The sepals are ovate-elliptical, and the petals are white or lavender and obovate.

The inflorescence of Cranewort is terminal or axillary, the bracts are subulate, the sepals are oblong, the petals are similar in shape to the former, and the color is white or light red.
