Generally speaking, the frequency is most closely related to the season. It's about the same in spring and autumn, about once a week. In summer, it should be done more frequently, from every two days to once a week. If there is rain, you can use rainwater first, but do not use too much rainwater. In winter, the frequency is less, about once every two weeks. However, this is only an approximate frequency range, and the specific situation will be more complicated. Different regions have different climates, and the varieties are also different, so it is unscientific to base it entirely on this. It is best to decide whether to water based on the specific dryness and wetness of the soil.

2. Methods for judging soil dryness and wetness

(1) Toothpick method: use a toothpick to judge. First break off the head of a toothpick to avoid damaging the plant. After processing, insert it into the soil, about four to five centimeters. Wait five minutes, take it out and observe. If there is no moisture on it, it means the soil is dry. You can water it at this time.

(2) Intubation method: The principle is similar to the previous method. Poke five or six small holes on the bottom of a plastic tube and cut the lower half into a bevel. Then insert eight to ten centimeters into the soil. After five minutes, unplug it and check if there is any moisture. If not, it's time to water.

(3) Soil surface: The soil surface can also be observed. If it just turns white, there is no need to water it yet. Wait a day or two before watering again.
