How to grow Buddha lotus

How to grow Buddha lotus

1. Maintenance conditions

1. Light: It likes to grow in places with good sunlight. It is relatively shade-tolerant, but you should pay attention to shading it in summer. In other seasons, the plant can receive full daylight. Lack of sunlight will directly affect the growth of the plant.

2. Soil: It prefers to grow in an environment with strong drainage and good air permeability. Usually we need to give it more fertile soil, which can be mixed with soil containing rotten leaves, garden soil and river sand before use.

3. Watering: Pay attention to the amount of water. Usually you should wait until the soil in the pot becomes dry before adding water. Pay attention to controlling water to prevent water accumulation from affecting the normal growth of the plants and causing rot, etc. But the soil in the pot cannot become too dry, otherwise its growth will slow down.

4. Fertilization: Usually, fertilizer and water can be applied once every 20 days or so. Use a diluted fertilizer containing phosphorus and potassium and apply it in the morning and evening. Then sprinkle with clean water. Be careful not to set the concentration too high, as watering it will also help it absorb nutrients better without getting burned.

2. Precautions

It grows at temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees. In winter, the temperature in the house must be maintained above 15 degrees to prevent it from freezing and affecting its normal growth.
