How to grow orchids

How to grow orchids

1. Placement

If you want to grow orchids well, their location is very important. Orchids like a transparent environment, so they should be placed in a well-ventilated place. In addition, orchids do not like too strong light, but they can also stay in completely dark places for a long time, so the placement should also pay attention to scattered light or semi-shade.

2. Good matrix

The selected substrate should be loose, breathable and fertile, which is conducive to growing the plants well. In addition, in order to improve air permeability, you can also lay a layer of expanded clay at the bottom of the flower pot. Also, in order to retain water and keep warm, a layer of moss or lichen can be laid on the upper part of the substrate.

3. Proper moisture

First, water it. Generally speaking, touch the soil with your hand, if it is dry, you can water it, but it doesn't need too much. In addition to watering, you also need to spray water around to increase humidity.

4. Appropriate temperature

Orchids can only grow well if the temperature is within the appropriate range. Specifically, ten to twenty-five degrees is best. In addition, if you want it to bloom well, you can appropriately increase the temperature difference between day and night.

5. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

For the plants to grow well, an appropriate amount of fertilizer is necessary. Mainly during the growth period, the types of fertilizers used are mainly phosphorus fertilizers and potassium fertilizers.

6. Weeding

In order to prevent weeds from competing with orchids for nutrients, they need to be removed as soon as they are discovered. This is how orchids grow well.
