RoseEuropean roses, mini roses, small roses...they are a must-have for every household this year. The more you grow, the more problems you will encounter. Every day, flower lovers come to me for help: Is the rose in my home dead? Although roses are relatively sensitive, they are still very resilient. They can deal with ordinary yellowing and falling leaves. As long as the cross-section of the branches is still alive (with green color), nothing else matters. 1. Pruning method It doesn't matter if all the leaves turn yellow. Cut off all the dry branches and leaves, and keep cutting the flower branches until there are green branches with life. After pruning the branches, place them in a ventilated place, keep them in sunlight for more than 4 hours a day, water them every 2-3 days, and new leaves will grow in 1-2 weeks. 2. Changing soil and potting method If the soil is too hard and not breathable, or the flowerpot is too large, it may cause the rose leaves to turn yellow or fall off. At this time, you should change the soil and pot. Replace it with leaf mold mixed with garden soil that has good air permeability, and place the flower in the pot at a fist distance from the edge of the pot. After replanting, water thoroughly and place in a well-ventilated place for 2-5 days to slow down the growth. 3. Wax dripping method If the roses are "bitten to death" by insects, you must choose this method, because the insects are very small and if they accidentally crawl into the flower stems, you will be doomed! Cut off the damaged part and drip wax on the cut. White wax or red wax is fine. If you don’t have wax at home, you can use transparent nail polish to seal the mouth, which can also prevent insects. 4. Cutting method Roses are easy to propagate by cuttings. Generally, April to May and September to October are the golden times for rose propagation, so it is still in time to do so. Vermiculite mixed with sand and garden soil, so that it has good air permeability and moisture retention. Pick 10-16 cm long flower branches (keep at least 2 buds), insert them into the soil, water them thoroughly, and place them in a cool and ventilated place. During the cutting process, you can pour some rooting powder water (rooting powder and water 1:2000) to speed up the rooting process. GardeniaAlthough the traditional flowering period of gardenia has passed, many flower lovers still have various problems after buying gardenias with irregular flowering periods on the market, so! Huahua feels that rescuing Gardenia is urgent~ 1. Pruning method When you buy gardenias in pots from the market, the owner usually adds fertilizer to the soil in the pots. The fertilizer will slowly run out, and the old leaves will start to turn yellow. At this time, cut off the yellow leaves and weak branches to preserve nutrients. 2. Watering method Gardenia likes acidic soil and is prone to iron deficiency. Some flower lovers have alkaline soil and water at home, so the leaves become abnormal when they grow them. At this time, just add a spoonful of vinegar when watering. The approximate ratio of vinegar to water is 1:200. Water with vinegar water 1-2 times a month. Don't water too much as it may corrode the flowers! Iron deficiency is easy to deal with. In addition to buying ferrous sulfate and diluting it with water for watering flowers, if you have a large iron pot at home, you can just brush it a few times and rub off some iron to water the gardenia. 3. Root repair method If the gardenia wilts and loses all its leaves within a few days, it is likely that the roots are damaged. Dig it out and take a look. Carefully clean the rotten roots, rinse with water, or soak in carbendazim solution for 10-20 minutes to sterilize, dry and replant 4. Rooting method The roots of many gardenias of flower lovers have all rotted and cannot be saved. Don’t be discouraged, there is still a way. As long as your gardenia still has green branches, it will be fine! Cut off the branches that are still alive, about 8-15 cm, and put them directly into water. They will start to take root in about 7-10 days. Be careful not to let the bottom of the gardenia touch the bottle when inserting it in water, as this will hinder rooting. You can also put foam on the gardenia as a "life jacket" so that it will float. HydrangeaMany flower lovers can't move their feet when they see hydrangeas. They wilt within a few days after buying them, or the flowers seem to be dying as soon as they bloom. It's really worrying. In fact, hydrangeas are just relatively "quiet" and are particularly afraid of being tossed around, so the following flower methods are all "lazy" methods. 1. Leaf cutting method Hydrangeas have a fast transpiration rate, especially those that have just been bought. Once they leave the high temperature and high humidity greenhouse and come to the relatively dry home environment, they will wilt immediately! It's scary when hydrangea wilts, don't throw it away, cut off the leaves, cut the branches short (keep about 20 cm), water it thoroughly, and place it in a cool and ventilated place. Be careful not to expose the flowers to direct sunlight. Diffused light is best. Turn the pot every two or three days to allow the flowers to receive even light. 2. Bagging The temperature fluctuates with the change of seasons, and hydrangeas prefer warmth and humidity, so they wilt easily. Put a plastic bag over your head to keep warm and moisturize! 3. Pest control and disease treatment Hydrangea has large leaves, and some fatal diseases will appear on the leaves. Flower lovers should observe them in time and spray pesticides immediately if they find any! Ferrous sulfate mixed with water (1:1000) can cure yellowing leaves on hydrangeas. Note that you don't need to water them every day. Just water them 1-2 times after the leaves turn yellow. Household alcohol mixed with water (1:500) or garlic water (2 cloves of garlic mixed with 1 bowl of water) can be used to wipe the sick hydrangea leaves to sterilize and prevent various fungal diseases. 4. Cutting method If the hydrangea seems to be beyond repair, you can take cuttings, at least 6 cm will do. Cut off half of the leaves to save nutrients, insert them into sandy soil, and place them in a cool place away from direct sunlight. The next step is moisturizing. Spray water every day to keep the sand slightly moist. Don’t pull it out to check out out of curiosity. At the current temperature, it will take about 20 days to take root! SucculentAs the weather gets hotter, all kinds of problems with succulents pop up. I wonder if flower lovers have any way to deal with them? 1. Sunbathing Many flower lovers are afraid that succulents will be sunburned, so they put all the succulents indoors. Then the succulents grow poorly and turn into "zombie colors". The so-called fresh and clean plants are all deceptive. In fact, it is not yet very hot, and the succulents have not yet entered their dormant period. They can still be exposed to the sun to make their faces “rosy and shiny”! Flower lovers in the south can just shade it at noon 2. Root repair method Once the succulents show signs of waterlogging or black rot, it is most likely that the roots are rotten. Dig out the roots quickly, clean up the rotten roots, and remove the bad leaves. The repaired roots can be soaked in a solution of carbendazim for 10-20 minutes, and then replanted directly after drying. 3. Rooting method Some flower lovers may find that the roots of succulents have all rotted after digging them out. After cleaning them, cut off 1-2cm from the bottom and soak the rest in water with rooting powder. It will take about 5-8 days for the roots to grow. 4. Leaf cutting method Some succulents are rotten and only leaves are left. They can still be planted by leaf cuttings. Huahua will repeat the leaf cutting method here~ Growth point: Only when the growth point is normal can leaf cutting be successful. Leaf cutting with a blocked or shriveled growth point will be in vain. It is best to place leaf cuttings flat on moist soil. Diseased leaves are prone to infection when inserted into the soil. Placing them flat can serve as an isolation measure. The rooting process of leaf cuttings is 7-10 days. During this period, they should be placed in a cool and ventilated place. Do not water them randomly. It is best to use a small dropper bottle to water them directly on the soil. After about a month, the seedlings have grown strong and can be planted in pots.
