How to make petunia bloom

How to make petunia bloom

1. The habit of this plant

Only by understanding its characteristics can we know what to do to benefit it. First of all, it likes a warm environment. It is very intolerant of cold, but it is not affected by high temperatures. If you want it to bloom, the temperature must be guaranteed. Then there is illumination. Since it is a long-day plant, it requires more light. If you want the pot to bloom, sufficient light is essential. There is also moisture, which has very demanding requirements. At certain times, lack of water is not acceptable. However, the amount of water cannot be too much, because it cannot be waterlogged either. Otherwise, not only will it fail to bloom, but it will also cause damage to it. The last thing is the soil. If you want the plant to bloom out of the pot, there are naturally some requirements for the soil.

2. Specific methods

(1) Temperature: The temperature must be kept within the most suitable range to provide a basis for its blooming. For this plant, the most suitable range is thirteen to eighteen degrees. Once the temperature is relatively low, do not leave it outdoors, but move it indoors for maintenance.

(2) Light: In order to achieve the effect of overflowing the pot, sufficient light must be guaranteed. Especially when the growth rate is fast, this stage is the critical period for the pot to bloom. During this period, there is no need for shade unless the light is particularly strong.

(3) Water: It grows faster in summer, so it needs more water. It is best to water twice, in the morning and evening. However, special care should be taken to avoid water accumulation. Also, don't let it get too much rain.

(4) Soil quality: The first two requirements are looseness and fertility. Another consideration is that it cannot be waterlogged, so good drainage is required. So, it is best for us to choose sandy loam.
