When to transplant roses

When to transplant roses

Rose is a common flower in daily life. It usually grows in a warm, humid and sunny environment. The best time for transplanting is spring because the climate is mild and the temperature is suitable. There is less damage to it after transplanting and it is easy to survive.

Rose transplanting time

Roses are suitable for transplanting in winter and spring, the specific time is around November to March of the following year. At this time, the growth rate of the plants is relatively slow, which causes little harm to the roses. It is easy to resume growth quickly, and the survival rate is very high.

Rose transplanting method

1. Pruning

Before transplanting roses, you need to check their root growth. If rotten roots, old roots, or dead roots are found, they should be pruned away. Also, the diseased branches, old branches, overgrown branches, and weak branches on the plant should be cut off to avoid them competing with normal branches and leaves for nutrients.

2. Soil

Roses are suitable for planting in loose, well-drained soil, mainly sandy soil. You can add some perlite, humus and organic soil to it. After the soil is prepared, it needs to be disinfected. The roots of transplanted roses need to carry some of the original soil. Just compact the soil after planting.

Management of rose after transplanting

After transplanting the roses, you need to water them with an appropriate amount of water and water them thoroughly at one time. Not too much or too little. Too much water can easily cause water accumulation problems, while too little water can cause the soil and roots to dry out.
