1. Seed propagation

1. Planting time

Generally, the most common method of propagation is sowing. The specific time is from late August to early September. Because the weather at this time has gradually become cooler and is not as hot as in summer, the sowing effect is better at this time.

2. Planting method

Before planting, we need to prepare the culture soil first, which is usually made of some leaf mold and river sand. After the soil is prepared, you can take out the seeds and start sowing. Because the seeds are very small, they cannot be too close together when planting, otherwise the seedlings that will grow later will appear very thin and weak. After planting, we can sprinkle some fine soil on the seeds and cover them. When covering, the soil layer must not be too thick, or you can leave it uncovered. Then you can cover the pot with glass or film to maintain humidity and temperature, and place it in a cool and ventilated place. After a while, the seedlings will grow out.

3. Post-maintenance

After planting the seeds, we need to maintain the temperature at around 20 degrees. Generally, seedlings will grow after 7 to 10 days. However, during this period, if the soil is very dry, the pot should be soaked in water in time to keep the soil moist. After the seedlings grow out, we need to remove the covering and then control the temperature at 15 degrees.

2. Cutting method

In addition to the above sowing method, there are still a small number of plants that need to be propagated by cuttings. First, we can find a relatively thick rhizome from its plant, then cut it off together, and then we can insert them together in the prepared potting soil. After insertion, we need to provide it with proper shade and moisture. Basically, it will start to take root in a short time. After the roots grow out, we can transplant it. However, because the survival rate of cuttings is very low, it is rarely used.
