Taboos for growing Bauhinia in winter

Taboos for growing Bauhinia in winter

Don't water too much

The newly planted Bauhinia needs water very much. It needs to be watered for the first time when it is planted, and it needs to be watered enough at one time. You need to feed them enough on the second day, but you can do it a little later for the third time, you can choose to do it on the sixth day. After that, you have to operate according to the weather conditions. You must not water them every day in order to make them grow well, because once water accumulates in the pot, it will affect the breathing of the roots and even cause the entire Bauhinia plant to rot. They need to be watered thoroughly once in March, April and September, and can be placed outdoors at other times to allow them to grow normally.

Fertilization cannot be evenly distributed

Flower lovers like to apply fertilizer at regular times and in fixed quantities, but this method is not suitable for every plant. Most plants have a period of vigorous growth, and at this time they are very short of fertilizer. In early winter, Bauhinia should be combined with frozen watering to apply appropriate farmyard manure. You can use some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before the flowers bloom, so as to ensure that the new branches will become woody and not be frozen in winter, so that they can survive the winter safely.

Don't Ignore Pests and Diseases

Don't think that you can just place them outdoors and let them grow on their own. Always observe the situation of pests and diseases and deal with them in time so that they can grow better. There is a disease called angular leaf spot, which mainly occurs on the leaves. In severe cases, the leaves are covered with spots and the leaves will fall off. It is more likely to occur when there is a lot of rain. If the diseased dead leaves are not dealt with in time, the pathogen can overwinter on the leaves, and the symptoms will definitely be more serious next year. Therefore, not only should the diseased leaves be removed and disposed of, but they should also be sprayed with appropriate pesticides to prevent future disease.
