What to do with succulents in the north in winter

The North with heating

Most of the flower lovers are in rural areas. Although there is no heating, they will burn their own stoves to keep warm. The hot water enters the heater, which not only provides heating but also releases hot water. This has the same effect as in an old building with central heating. At this time, friends may consider putting them directly on the heater. This practice is not common. It is necessary to keep the meat away from the heater, although the temperature may not be as high.

However, do not let the succulents become too hot or lose moisture. Sometimes the method you think is to protect them may not be the best way for them. You should operate according to their needs. By the same token, if you have underfloor heating at home, do not place succulents on the ground.

The North without heating

Friends who don’t have heating conditions don’t need to worry. First of all, the reason why homes without heating don’t need heating is that it’s probably not too cold. If the temperature is below 5℃, people won’t be able to stay there, let alone meat. I saw some friends made a foam greenhouse for their succulents, and it seemed to be very effective. It is just a foam box used for fresh produce and then covered with a layer of plastic cloth. Friends who are interested can search for it and then make one by themselves. If you live in the north where it is not that cold, there will be no problem using this kind of insulation shed.

Generally speaking, it is not difficult for succulents to survive the winter safely in the north. At worst, if the situation is very cold and there is no heating, you need to pay attention to keeping warm. Because they are not cold-resistant, but if you forget to moisturize them when keeping them warm, they may be hurt by your own kindness.
