How to make mountain roses bloom

How to make mountain roses bloom

1. Soil

Mountain rose does not have particularly high requirements for soil, but it prefers loose and breathable soil, so we must meet its requirements in order to enable it to grow better. Generally, you can choose soil that is relatively loose and breathable, has a certain degree of granularity, and contains some organic matter. Generally, peat soil is mixed with perlite or other granular substances in the picture, which is more suitable for growth.

2. Watering

Mountain roses prefer a relatively dry and cool environment because they are relatively drought-resistant, but they are very afraid of water accumulation in the pot and cannot be exposed to rain. Therefore, in order to make it bloom smoothly and better, we should try our best to control the amount of watering in the summer, and we cannot cut off the water. Generally, we can humidify the pot by immersing it in water. In this way, just dip it in water slightly and keep the bottom of the pot moist. This will meet its demand for water, and it will bloom better next year.

3. Ventilation

If you want the mountain rose to bloom, you need to ventilate it properly. Generally, in summer, we will open the windows during the day and turn on the air conditioner at night. But it cannot be well ventilated, so we can hang a small ceiling fan near it. As long as it is well ventilated, its root system will be particularly healthy and it will be easier to bloom. However, it is best not to move it frequently, as this will be detrimental to its growth.

4. Lighting

Mountain roses prefer sunlight, so it is particularly good to choose a south-facing window. Of course, it would be even better if placed outside. The mountain roses we usually see are mostly emerald green, but if we take them out and give them sufficient light frequently, they will be sunburned into red, which looks particularly beautiful. This is also more beneficial to its health and makes it easier for it to bloom.
