Cutting method of lily bamboo

Cutting method of lily bamboo

A complete guide to propagating lily bamboo by cuttings, roots will appear in half a month!

1. The specific method of cutting is to cut off a piece of stem in the spring, which is generally about 5 to 10 cm long. It is best if there are no leaves on it, or the base tip is easy to dry up and can also be cut off and used. Take the plants that have grown in a dark place in the house for a long time and have grown some branches with stem tips, insert them into relatively clean coarse river sand, and water them thoroughly.

2. Then we need to cover the entire plant with a plastic bag to keep the soil moist, and then place it in a room with better light. Generally, roots will grow after 25 days. Or you can put the branch you cut off before in water. If it is in an environment of 25 degrees, it will be able to grow roots in 15 days.

3. Lily bamboo is a plant that prefers a warm and humid environment. It is more suitable for growing at a temperature of 20 to 27 degrees. Even in winter, it is best to grow at above 10 degrees. If the air is too dry, the leaves may turn yellow. Also, it prefers sunlight and is not suitable for places that are too shady. A little shade is best. As for water, it is relatively drought-resistant and moisture-resistant, and the requirements are not so strict. The substrate prefers sandy loam with good drainage, moist and fertile soil.
