temperature

Red-leafed cordyline is suitable for a warm and humid environment and sufficient sunlight. It cannot be placed in a dark corner for a long time. Since it is a tropical plant, the room temperature is required to be kept above 12 degrees Celsius.

Cuttings

Red Leaf Cordyline is mainly propagated by cuttings. The best months for cuttings are July to September. Cut the lower half of the Red Leaf Cordyline into small pieces of about seven or eight centimeters, then insert them into the sand and pour a small amount of water to make the sand moist. Under such conditions, it will germinate in about twenty days.

sunshine

The sunlight is quite strong in the summer, so be sure to move the red-leaf cordyline to a cool and ventilated place. Do not expose it to the sun, otherwise it will easily age or darken.

During the season when red-leaf cordyline grows faster, pay attention to watering and fertilizing. Water frequently to keep it moist, and fertilize once every two weeks to ensure that sufficient nutrients are supplied to the red-leaf cordyline. In dry weather, don't forget to sprinkle a little more water on the leaves. In winter, move the red-leaf cordyline to a well-lit area indoors. When pests and diseases occur, pesticides should be sprayed in time.
