I've been growing flowers for 5 years, and a lot of them died, but these 10 are still blooming on the balcony!

I've been growing flowers for 5 years, and a lot of them died, but these 10 are still blooming on the balcony!

1 morning glory

When summer comes, Huahua always thinks of the old yard from her childhood. Several broken basins were filled with morning glories, which were placed in the yard all summer. People rarely remembered to water them, and children often picked the flowers and used them as small trumpets to play with, but they still spread and bloomed vigorously.

Maintenance method:

Morning Glory is highly adaptable and resistant to drought and high temperatures. As long as you water it every day and don't keep it too waterlogged, there will be no problem.

2 Kalanchoe

Kalanchoe is great, I love it very much because its colors are very diverse and the flowers are in clusters, so delicate and cute, so lovable.

Maintenance method:

If you want to place the Kalanchoe in an enclosed balcony, that would be perfect. Kalanchoe prefers a moist, warm and sunny environment and is cold-resistant. If the temperature is around 15℃, it will bloom continuously.

3. Oxalis

The plants planted in green belts are definitely easy to grow! There are a lot of Oxalis in the green belt near Huahua’s house. I was itching to plant some every time I passed by, and finally went to the flower market to buy a few pots because we are civilized citizens!

Maintenance method:

It likes sunshine, warm and humid environment, and is drought-resistant. It doesn’t matter if you forget to water it in the summer. Oxalis can thrive with just ordinary garden soil. When the sun is shining, it blooms vigorously.

4. Vinca roseus

As the name suggests, Catharanthus roseus is like living in spring all year round and blooms beautiful flowers. Huahua likes the slightly leathery green leaves of Vinca roseus, which have clear veins and a clean shape, and are pleasing to the eye.

Maintenance method:

It blooms all year round, likes high temperature and high humidity, likes sunlight, and is afraid of waterlogging. This is a disadvantage, but Huahua thinks this is actually a big advantage, because it makes watering easier!

5. Gloxinia

The flowers of Gloxinia are really beautiful. The color of the flower center is rich, and gradually fades from the inside to the outside. The leaves are dark green with small round serrations, and the combination is as beautiful as an oil painting.

Maintenance method:

It likes warm and humid environment, is semi-dormant in summer, and has the ability to resist heat. It doesn't like a lot of water, so water it less often.

6 Osmanthus fragrans

Ruhuahua has a golden osmanthus tree at home. It blooms every autumn and is fragrant and sweet. It is so beautiful. This year, when I saw the Osmanthus fragrans in my friend’s house, I decisively bought another one so that I can enjoy the flowers all year round!

Maintenance method:

Osmanthus fragrans prefers a warm, humid environment with plenty of sunlight. It is both drought-resistant and cold-resistant and very strong.

7 Begonia

The leaves of Begonia are unique, oily and look like they were waxed, soft to the touch and feel great. Huahua has several pots of Begonia at home, and it is most appropriate to put them on the balcony because they are overall regular and short, like a small flower ball. When the evening sun shines through the glass, the colors are soft and romantic.

Maintenance method:

It likes warm and humid environment, likes sunshine, is afraid of waterlogging, and is a must-grow flower for lazy people. However, although Begonia loves light, it cannot withstand the strong sun in summer. It is best to place it in a semi-shaded place, such as in the corners of the wall and the inside of the balcony.

8. Geranium

Geranium leaves are round and have a peculiar fragrance, which has a good mosquito repellent effect. There is a unique charm in the blooming geranium. With its complex colors, how can anyone not like it?

Maintenance method:

Geranium is also a flower that is afraid of waterlogging. In addition, it does not like strong fertilizer. Geranium is a light-loving plant. In the summer, as long as you place it in a place with plenty of sunlight and ensure ventilation and shelter from rain, you can enjoy its beautiful flowers without too much care.

9 Anthurium

Anthurium is an amazing plant. When Huahua was still young, she saw a bright red anthurium in a restaurant. She thought it was a fake flower and tried to pinch it for a long time.

Maintenance method:

It likes high temperature and high humidity. If you keep an Anthurium in summer, you don’t have to worry about watering it frequently. Just make sure the soil is loose and breathable and keep it indoors away from direct sunlight.

10 Hibiscus

Hibiscus, also known as Chinese hibiscus, is a traditional famous flower in China. Huahua likes its thin, pleated petals, which look like the silk skirt of an ancient lady.

Maintenance method:

Basking in the sun is Fuso's favorite thing. Hibiscus likes sunshine and a warm and humid environment. It grows better in acidic soil.
