How to propagate Sedum

How to propagate Sedum

1. Method of sowing seeds

Sowing seeds is generally more suitable when it rains or is cloudy or rainy, and the ground cannot be uneven, it must be very flat, and the soil must be loose. It is best to choose a plowed and moist land, and then cut the better growing stems and leaves into about 4 cm, and sow them evenly in the prepared soil.

The best distance between seeds is about 1 cm, and then sprinkle them half-exposed and half-covered with fine soil. When spraying water, the soil must be kept relatively moist. Generally, the seeds will start to take root in about a week, and then you can carry out daily management.

2. Cutting method

Generally, if you choose the cutting method, it is best to do it in summer or autumn. The ground must be flat, loose and moist. Then make trenches. The distance between the trenches is generally about 15 cm. Then cut the better-growing stems and leaves into small sections of about ten centimeters.

Insert them into the ditch one by one, and then fill them with soil. Generally, the depth of soil should be about 3 cm. After leveling the ground, start irrigating with water. Make sure there is enough water. Generally, it is sufficient to water once every 3 days.

3. Division method

In summer and autumn, you can cut its stems and leaves into small sections of about 6 cm and scatter them in the plowed land. Then use a hoe to gently hoe the land so that its stem nodes are half buried in the soil. Then spray it with water. Generally, spraying it twice will be enough. Make sure the soil is moist. Generally, it will take root in about a week.

Moreover, the plant Sedum reproduces very quickly, so no matter which method is used for reproduction, Sedum can be carried out easily, so it is a plant that is relatively easy to reproduce.
