How to propagate spider plants by cuttings

Material

Chlorophytum (with runners), soil, small shovel, flower pot (with drainage holes), scissors, newspaper, expanded clay, and water.

The first step is to find the spider plants suitable for cuttings, which are the small spider plants on the creeping stems. Just cut these small spider plants with scissors.

The second step is to put soil in the flowerpot. First, you need to deal with the drainage holes. You can put newspapers at the bottom. Then, put some expanded clay as a drainage layer, and finally put the soil on top.

The third step is to use a small shovel to gently press a small hole on the surface of the soil, then plant the spider plant in it and press the soil tightly.

The fourth step, after the cuttings are done, you need to water the spider plant with plenty of water. Make sure to water it thoroughly, and it is best if water flows out from the bottom of the pot. After that, you can place the spider plant in a cool and ventilated place and spray water frequently to keep it moist.
