How to grow Cineraria in autumn

Cineraria autumn sowing

Cineraria can be sown in autumn, usually in mid-to-late October. At this time, keep the temperature between 20℃ and 25℃, and it can grow slowly. The seedlings can be transplanted in mid-November.

Tips for caring for Cineraria in autumn

In autumn, the growth of cineraria is still relatively vigorous.

Cineraria is suitable for growing in a warmer environment, and the cultivation temperature should be maintained at 10℃-15℃. Be careful not to keep the temperature too low, and it should be kept at least above 5℃. In the autumn, as the temperature drops, the temperature gradually decreases. It is necessary to move the Cineraria indoors for maintenance as soon as possible, and do not let it freeze, and do not make sudden drastic changes in the room temperature.

The light should be appropriate. When growing cineraria, it is best to place it in a cool, ventilated place in autumn and keep it in light, but avoid strong light. When cineraria enters the bud-forming stage, the plant needs to be exposed to light for at least 3 hours a day, and the pot must be changed in time to avoid the phenomenon of flower crown deviation.

In terms of watering and fertilizing, in order to make the cineraria bloom well, the demand for water and fertilizer must be met during the period before flowering. Generally, bean cake fertilizer should be applied to cineraria every 7-10 days, and liquid fertilizer can be sprayed frequently until it blooms.

In addition, attention should be paid to the prevention and control of diseases and pests to prevent cineraria from being affected by diseases and pests. Spraying pesticides in time for prevention and control can avoid some adverse consequences.
