Flowering period control of peony

Peonies will differentiate flower buds from June to the end of September. If you want to control the flowering period of peonies, you can do so according to the differentiation of flower buds.

Peony flower control operation

The flowering period of peony can be controlled during the National Day.

First, refrigerate the peony flowers two months before National Day to let them dormant. After half a month, take the peony out of the cold storage and place it in a cool, semi-dry place. Remember to spray water around the plant frequently with a watering can to awaken the dormant plant and allow it to grow normally.

Secondly, the peony will sprout. At this time, it is necessary to give the peony enough light and apply thin cake fertilizer water every 10 days.

Finally, it should be noted that the temperature for its growth should be kept at around 22%, so that by the end of September, the peony will bloom.

The flowering period of peony can be controlled in November.

In early August, cut off all the leaves, leaving the petioles, and then apply decomposed cake fertilizer.

In this way, the peony will sprout. You can use gibberellin to accelerate the germination by wrapping cotton wool around the buds. Then you should apply gibberellin solution between 8 and 10 am every day to promote the germination of flower buds.

When the leaves unfold, spray a mixture of 0.1% urea and 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate. The plant will bloom after late September and last until late November.
