How to Make Ranunculus Bloom Faster

How to Make Ranunculus Bloom Faster

1. Transplant at the right time

When it has 3 to 4 leaves growing, you can find a 16-cm-diameter pot and transplant it into it. The potting soil should be a mixture of leaf mold, garden soil, coarse sand, and wood ash to ensure the looseness and drainage of the soil. After that, you can water it thoroughly and place it in a cooler place for maintenance, away from direct sunlight.

2. Control the temperature

After the arrival of frost, when the weather starts to get colder, if you are in the north, you need to move it to a greenhouse with lower temperature in time, or place it on the balcony, and maintain the temperature between 10 and 20 degrees, not exceeding 30 degrees, otherwise, the leaves will turn yellow due to the stuffiness, and the roots and stems will be more likely to rot. At the same time, when it reaches the budding period, more attention should be paid to the temperature. It is best to control it between 7 and 10 degrees, so that the flowers can bloom early.

3. Appropriate topdressing

It likes fertilizer very much, so during the maintenance process, fertilizer is very important to it. It should be applied once every week. Not only organic fertilizer but also inorganic fertilizer should be used. When applying fertilizer for the first time, it is best to use chicken and pig manure liquid fertilizer and ensure the concentration is appropriate. When applying fertilizer for the second time, use potassium dihydrogen phosphate as the main fertilizer with a concentration of 3%. The third time, use inorganic fertilizer as the main fertilizer. Using them in rotation can allow the flower buds to begin to differentiate sooner. If the initial budding occurs half a month before the Spring Festival, it will bloom during the Spring Festival.

4. Appropriate use of Shulei

When the flower buds just appear, you should relax them appropriately, leaving only 3 to 5 strong buds. This will make the flowers bigger and more ornamental. After it blooms, you should cut off the remaining flowers in time to prevent nutrient loss so that it can bloom more flowers.
