Does basil bloom?

Whether to bloom

Does basil bloom? The answer is definitely yes. Basil blooms purple or white flowers, and the small petals are very cute. Usually, a basil branch will be full of clusters of flowers, layer upon layer. The petals are wide open and the long stamens hang down, making it feel like little dancing people.

Flowering period

Basil usually blooms from July to September each year. When basil blooms, the flowers bloom luxuriantly on a branch. After the flowering period, it is the basil fruiting period. When the basil branches become dry, harvest the seeds and sow them next year.

Picture appreciation

Looking at such brilliant flowers, don’t they feel very different from the green appearance? Although basil flowers are small, they are still a pleasure to watch. The tiny flowers dotted on the branches create another beautiful scene.

Basil also has white flowers. Unlike the purple-red flowers, the white flowers look more elegant and pure. It seems that all the beautiful words in the world can be used to describe it.

Look, look, they look like little dancing people. It's small, cute and really attracts me. Don’t be fooled by its small size, its fragrance is very strong and can attract many bees!

Basil is called nine-layer pagoda. I wonder if it is because of its layers of inflorescences, which are stacked one on top of another, as if there are nine layers. I haven’t really counted whether there are nine layers or not, but it’s about the same! In fact, flowering is a very nutrient-consuming process. Therefore, when the brilliant flowers bloom, it indicates that death is approaching. Appreciate this beauty, it is what they have earned by giving everything they have.
