Tips to make anthurium flourish

Tips to make anthurium flourish

Soil requirements for anthurium to flourish

The most suitable potting soil for Anthurium is peat soil mixed with a quarter of perlite and a small amount of bone meal or decomposed manure cake fertilizer. Can provide sufficient nutrients.

The bottom of the pot needs to be padded with coarse sand or other materials to facilitate drainage. Provide a breathable and ventilated environment for the growth of Anthurium.

Fertilizer and water requirements for anthurium to flourish

Anthurium likes a humid living environment. During the peak growing season, watering should be sufficient, and the soil in the pot should be alternating between dry and wet. In late autumn and early spring, the amount of watering should be properly controlled, and waterlogging should not be allowed in the pot soil. During the hot season, you need to spray water on the leaves and sprinkle water on the ground 2 to 3 times a day to help reduce temperature and increase humidity.

Compound liquid fertilizer should be applied 2 or 3 times a month.

Temperature and light requirements for Anthurium to flourish

Anthurium requires a warm living environment. The suitable temperature during the growing period is 20~25℃, and the room temperature overwintering cannot be lower than 16℃.

Anthurium should avoid strong light exposure, so it is necessary to provide shade around noon in summer and expose it to more sunlight in the morning and evening; it should be given sufficient light in winter.

Requirements for repotting anthurium to keep it lush and green

The plant needs to be repotted once every 1 to 2 years in early spring. When repotting, the old and dead roots should be cut off, and basal fertilizer should be applied and new culture soil should be added. This can ensure adequate nutrition for the anthurium and prevent the soil from becoming compacted.
