How to change the pot of Huangli

Prepare the Soil

The flowerpots for succulents are relatively small, and not much soil will be used even if you change the pots in time. It is recommended to replace half of the soil with new soil when changing the pots every year to increase the nutrients in the soil.

The prepared succulent soil bought from the flower market (it is troublesome to prepare it yourself, so buying it directly is the easiest way).

Spray the soil wet before use. Planting in wet soil is beneficial to the rooting and recovery of succulents.

Feel the soil with your hand to make sure it is moist but not sticky.

Treating the root system

In fact, one step is omitted here, which is to remove the plant from the pot and turn it upside down.

Then cut off the weeds and rotten roots, which will be more conducive to the growth of new roots. If the old roots are damaged, they need to be exposed to the sun before planting. Look at the roots after pruning, aren’t they much neater?

Basin

Plant the root-pruned plant in a pot. After planting, use a small brush, tweezers and other tools to remove any attachments on the succulent. Done!

Precautions

A very important point! After planting, don't rush to water or expose the plants to the sun! First move the succulent to a cool place, then water it after three or four days. After the succulent recovers, slowly expose it to sunlight.

As for the degree of watering, during the growing period, you should water the plants when the soil is dry, but control the frequency. Water as little as possible during the dormant period and pay attention to ventilation.
