How to control the flowering period of primroses

Primroses bloom during the Spring Festival

If you want primroses to bloom during the Spring Festival, you can sow them in mid-August. Sprinkle the black seeds evenly on the soil. Cover with a layer of fine soil, water thoroughly, keep the soil moist, and it will germinate in about 10 days. If the seedlings grow too densely, thinning them out can be done.

When the seedlings grow 3-4 true leaves, they can be planted in pots and the management of the seedlings should be strengthened, and they will then bloom as scheduled. The lifespan of the seeds is not short. It is best to sow them immediately after harvesting and store them in a cool and dry place. They can only grow for one year at most.

Primroses open on Labor Day

If you want primroses to bloom during Labor Day, you need to sow them in November. Pot sowing is often used in late autumn and early winter, which helps to move the primroses and keep them warm and moist. The indoor temperature should be kept at around 15-20℃ to allow it to germinate normally. If the indoor temperature is too low, you can cover it with a layer of transparent glass for insulation.

Primroses bloom on other festivals

If you need the seeds to bloom on Party Founding Day, you can sow them in early or mid-January.

Those that bloom on National Day must be sown in mid-January.

For primroses that bloom during New Year's Day, the seeds should be sown in a semi-shaded environment during mid-to-late July.
