How to grow Marcus

Marcus blooming pot cultivation method

Marcus belongs to the Asteraceae family, Marcus genus. It likes warm, dry and well-lit environment. It opens in the sun during the day and closes at night. It is not resistant to low temperatures. The suitable growth temperature is around 20 degrees. It is necessary to take measures to keep warm in winter. When cultivating, provide a suitable environment so that it can bloom in about three months.

1. Flower pot: If you want Marcus to bloom, the choice of flower pot is very important. You need to choose a flower pot with good water permeability. Generally, clay pots and ceramic pots are more suitable for the growth of succulents, and there needs to be drainage holes at the bottom of the flower pot.

2. Soil: Marcus is suitable for growing in soil with good drainage and air permeability. When preparing the soil for it, you can use leaf mold, vermiculite, peat soil, and base fertilizer. This kind of soil can avoid water accumulation after potting.

3. Watering: Marcus has a relatively strong drought resistance. During daily maintenance, just make sure the soil is dry and then water it. The water stored in it can ensure that it is self-sufficient in drought conditions, and short-term water shortage will not affect its growth.

4. Light: Marcus is more likely to grow out of the pot in an environment with sufficient sunlight. If it is kept in an environment lacking light for a long time, it is easy to become too tall and have thin leaves. When caring for it in summer, it is necessary to properly shield it from the sunlight to avoid too strong light burning its leaves.

Marcus maintenance precautions

Marcus has poor cold resistance, and its optimal growth environment temperature is 15-25 degrees. After winter, the temperature of the maintenance environment cannot be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise it will stop growing and suffer varying degrees of frostbite. If the temperature continues to drop, it will be in danger of death. Especially for friends who are growing it in the north, they should move it indoors before winter.
