spring

Suitable for balconies facing east, south, or west:

After the temperature rises in spring, the white jasmine needs to be repotted, young plants (once a year) and mature plants (once every 2-3 years).

It is preferred to use sandy soil with good drainage, good looseness and rich in humus as potting soil. Keep the subsoil at the roots for repotting.

Because white jasmine has fleshy roots and is not very resistant to drought or moisture, it is afraid of both waterlogging and soil lack of water after new buds sprout.

When the temperature rises to above 15℃ and is relatively stable, the white jasmine can be placed in a well-lit area outside the balcony for cultivation. Be sure to keep the soil in the pot moist and start fertilizing when new leaves grow.

The high temperature and strong light in summer can easily accelerate the aging of white jasmine leaves, and can also easily cause the potting soil to dry out and insufficient water supply. Therefore, in summer, the white jasmine needs to be moved to a semi-shaded place with sufficient light in the morning and evening for cultivation. Pay attention to keeping the soil moist and applying thin fertilizer frequently.

To increase the humidity of the air, you can sprinkle water all around, and also ensure good ventilation.

Wait until the temperature drops in late summer before placing the white jasmine in a well-lit place for cultivation.

autumn

Suitable for balconies facing east, south, or west:

As the light intensity weakens in autumn, white jasmine needs to be placed in a sunny place to ensure sufficient light, and the amount of water and fertilizer should also keep up.

After October, the weather turns cooler and the amount of watering should be slowly reduced and fertilization should be gradually stopped.

In order to improve the cold resistance of white jasmine and prevent pests in autumn, the white jasmine needs to be placed outdoors in a low temperature for a period of time, but it must not be hit by frost. Move it to a balcony with sufficient light for cultivation immediately before frost. When the temperature drops suddenly, it is even more important to take timely anti-cold measures.

winter

Suitable for balconies facing east, south, or west:

White jasmine has poor cold resistance, and the cultivation temperature in winter should be kept above 5℃-8℃.

Winter is the semi-dormant period of white jasmine. It is also necessary to ensure sufficient light, no fertilizer, and keep the potting soil in a "neither dry nor watered" state.

Maintaining smooth ventilation in winter is also the key to safe wintering to prevent the occurrence of pests such as scale insects.

A year of careful care will make your white jasmine pure and clean. Because it is so beautiful and fragile, you cannot be careless in its maintenance.
