How to fertilize delphinium

How to fertilize delphinium

1. Seedling stage

In the middle and late stages of seedling cultivation, the temperature is relatively low and fertilizer is also needed, but the concentration does not need to be too high and it can be applied once a week. If the temperature is over ten degrees at the end, we still have to continue the operations of the previous stage. Of course, if we add nutrient starters to the substrate, there is no need to fertilize during the growth period.

2. Growth stage

About five or six weeks after seedlings are raised, we can plant them in the seedbed. At this time, we must maintain good ventilation, allow it to see light, and add fertilizer regularly. Basically, the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium used each time is 20, 10 and 20. Apply fertilizer once a week. Generally, fertilizer is applied two or three times a month during the growing period, so that it will have sufficient nutrients to grow better.

3. Planting cuttings

Fertilizer is also needed when planting it or taking cuttings. At this time, base fertilizer is used. When applying this fertilizer, the soil must not become very wet. If it is too wet, it will affect the effectiveness of the fertilizer.

4. Fertilizer

We cannot apply only one type of fertilizer. It is best to use a compound fertilizer that contains nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. Therefore, you can use special fertilizers, which are relatively nutritious and balanced, and contain many microorganisms, which play a very important role in its growth, and it can also make the flowers grow better.
