Cultivation methods and precautions of Suzaku flower

Cultivation methods and precautions of Suzaku flower

1. Lighting

Vermilion bird likes strong light, so it is most suitable to be grown in sunny places such as balconies, terraces, and living rooms. About four hours of light a day is best for its growth. However, it should be noted that after exposure to strong light, it is best to move to a cool place for a rest.

2. Soil

It likes a loose and well-breathable soil environment, and has relatively high requirements for the soil, with sandy soil being the best. Sandy soil is more suitable for the growth of Suzaku because of its good drainage. Even in the rainy season, the roots will not rot due to excessive water accumulation. Therefore, be sure to keep the soil dry and breathable to avoid excessive moisture.

3. Temperature

The Vermilion Bird flower is rather delicate and cannot tolerate the cold, especially in winter, the temperature cannot drop below 8 degrees Celsius, otherwise the plant will be frozen. Therefore, you should choose to take good care of it in a warm room and make sure to keep it warm to avoid the situation where it stops growing due to cold.

4. Water

It doesn't like an environment that is too dry, so it is important to keep the air moist. When the moisture in the air reaches 50% to 70%, its growth is best. We can use a small spray bottle to spray water evenly on the leaves, which can effectively increase the humidity of the surrounding air.
