The main venue of the Dawu Red Leaf Festival is in Beishan Village, Sigu Town, Dawu County, Jiangjun County, Hubei Province. The Red Leaf Cultural Square in Sigu Town officially started construction in Beishan Village on August 13, 2011. It has a complete series of supporting facilities and an elegant environment. In order to promote the red leaf brand and enhance the local tourism level, the Dawu County Party Committee and the County Government decided to hold the first Dawu Red Leaf Cultural Tourism Festival from November 5 to 7, 2012. Since then, the Dawu Red Leaf Festival has been continued. 1. When is the Dawu Red Leaf Festival?Because the time when the season turns colder varies from year to year, the timing of the Daigu Red Leaf Festival also varies slightly. However, the approximate time can still be inferred. Generally speaking, November is the best time to view red leaves. In previous years, the Dagu Red Leaf Festival was basically held in early November. The red leaves in Daogu are generally at their most gorgeous from November 1st to 20th. If the temperature drops early and there are strong winds, the red leaves will fall early. 2. The best time to see the red leaves of the Chinese tallow tree in DawuEvery year, the leaves of the Daigu Tung tree begin to turn red in late October or early November, and the best time to view them is from early to mid-November. If the weather gets cold early, the leaves will turn red early. The Chinese tallow tree is also called the wood catalpa tree. In Dawu County, there are probably hundreds of thousands of Chinese tallow trees that are thirty years old or older. Every autumn, the leaves of the Chinese tallow tree turn bright red, and the entire mountain and field are covered in red, which is very pleasing to the eye. The poet Lu You once said, "The tallow tree is redder than the maple tree in the garden in September." When autumn comes, Daogu will be a great place to enjoy the red leaves. |
