What is microbial fertilizer (the use of microbial fertilizer and issues to pay attention to when applying it)

What is microbial fertilizer?

Microbial fertilizers have become a popular type of fertilizer in recent years. However, due to their new nature and the fact that they are mainly made of living bacteria, there are many problems in the market.

Therefore, farmers are always confused about the difference and unscrupulous merchants take advantage of them when purchasing microbial fertilizers, causing losses to crop yields and the economy.

Today we will talk about microbial fertilizers, so that farmers can truly recognize and understand microbial fertilizers.

Microbial fertilizer refers to artificially cultivated microbial preparations that use the action of living microorganisms in the soil to provide nutrient sources for crops, increase soil nutritional status or improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, and increase crop yield and quality .

Microbial fertilizers themselves basically do not provide nutrients. In this case, we need to understand what the role of microbial fertilizers is? What issues should be paid attention to during application?

It improves soil fertility, increases fertilizer utilization, inhibits the activity of plant pathogens, and improves the nutritional conditions of crops.

Microbial fertilizers play an irreplaceable role in promoting the composting and utilization of crop straw and urban garbage, protecting the environment, and improving the quality of crop products and food safety .

How to use microbial fertilizer:

1. How to use liquid inoculants

(1) Before sowing

① Seed dressing

Soak the seeds with 10-20 times diluted bacterial agent or spray them with diluted solution before sowing, so that the seeds are fully in contact with the liquid biological bacterial agent.

②Soaking seeds

Soak the seeds in a fungal agent with an appropriate amount of water, take them out and dry them, and sow them when the seeds turn white.

(2) Before transplanting:

① Dip the roots

Before transplanting the seedlings, soak the roots in liquid bacterial agent that has been diluted 10-20 times, then take out and plant immediately.

②Root spraying

Spray the roots of the seedlings with the bacterial solution diluted 10-20 times and then plant them.

(3) During the growth period:

①Spraying

After diluting the liquid bacterial agent at the required multiple, choose a cloudy day without rain or a sunny afternoon without wind, and spray it evenly on the back or front of the leaves according to the plants planted. For crops in the growth period, apply foliar topdressing.

② Root irrigation

Use liquid bacterial solution diluted 40-100 times to make a thin mud to irrigate the roots or around the roots of fruit trees in the planting rows or around the roots of fruit trees.

2. How to use solid bacterial agent:

(1) Before sowing:

① Seed dressing

Spray the seeds before sowing with rice soup or clean water, and mix them thoroughly with the solid fungal agent. When all the seeds are covered with a layer of solid biological fertilizer, they can be sown.

②Soaking seeds

Soak the plant seeds in the solid fungal agent for 1-2 hours and then soak them in the extract for 30 minutes, then take them out and sow them.

(2) Before transplanting:

Before transplanting the seedlings, use a solid fungal agent that has been diluted 10-20 times, wet the roots, and immediately take it out for planting.

(3) Combined with organic fertilizer application:

Mix 40-60 kg of fully decomposed organic fertilizer with 1000 g of solid bacterial agent and use it as base fertilizer, top dressing and seedling fertilizer.

(4) Soil mixing:

When raising crop seedlings, it can be mixed into nutrient soil and thoroughly mixed to make nutrient pots; it can also be mixed into thin mud and dipped in roots before transplanting fruit trees and other seedlings.

3. Application of biological organic fertilizer

(1) As basal fertilizer:

As basal fertilizer, it should be combined with organic fertilizer and applied in furrows or holes. When using biological organic fertilizer for field crops, it can be applied together with farmyard manure during land preparation in spring and autumn at a rate of 40-120 kg/mu.

(2) Top dressing:

Mix it into a thin slurry and apply it to the roots to cover them.

Bio-organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer can complement each other in fertilizer effect, and have the effect of resisting certain pathogenic microorganisms and improving the yield and quality of crops, so it can be used as topdressing and should be used in large quantities. However, the fertilizer effect of bio-organic fertilizer is slower than that of chemical fertilizer.

Therefore, when using bio-organic fertilizer as topdressing, it should be applied 7-10 days earlier than chemical fertilizer, and the use should be strictly followed according to the instructions .
